C4C428 Thank You Flip-It Card Duo

Good morning friends

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Bonnie Sharp had her challenges all ready for us, so even though she has left the Design Team she said to go ahead and use her challenges. Kristine Reynolds is joining us as our Guest Designer again this month (yeah!). You can find her blog HERE.

This is Bonnie's (adapted) challenge:  It is National Doctor’s Day - and Bonnie says she has a lot to be thankful for when it comes to Doctors and Nurses. For our challenge this week you have two options ....
Either create a "Thank You" card of some type, it could be for a Doctor, Nurse, some other person in the medical profession or any one you like
OR
create a "Get Well Card" that features a doctor, nurse or any medical theme

I had needed some quick Thank You cards, and Flip-It cards are quick and easy to make but have some WOW when you are done. This Flip-It set is a fairly new purchase and it's going to be lots of fun. Since it was new I wanted to play with the included floral and word dies.

Above, the thank you was cut away from a white rectangle, and the kraft from the card base shows through the openings. I like that it says 'thank you, thank you, thank you' as sometimes a single thank you isn't enough. Inside there is room to write our message.

The second card is a little more 'me'. I used the same Thank You and cut it from the centre of a flower that was cut from water colour paper. The colour was added with markers scribbled on a palette and picked up with a water brush.

The card base for this one is yellow Soft Finish Card stock from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I love that stuff - it is nice and heavy and white on the reverse side.

This second card reads as ' Thank You - You Rock!'  which is also going to be handy. I think I was finally able to use up this paper package, which is an older one from Stampin' Up. I also have a few other projects that I used this paper for which be posted in the coming weeks. One of my goals this year is to USE UP some of the stuff that has been hanging around my craft room for far too long.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C428.
